And then we were up at 6.00 every day for breakfast, and on the beach by 7.30! Crazy. We visited Chichen Itza while we were there, which was stunning - I have a thing for pyramids. I didn't climb to the top of it - D did though, and said all you could see in every direction was the mangroves. That’s exactly what happend to us – we were in bed by 9pm every night, apart from my birthday night when we got absolutely hammered. It was fantastic, I went to Mexico City, Puebla and Morelos on the organised tours, then to Morelia for a service project. All in the middle of Mexico - the desert, volcanoes and pyramids part. Amazing countryside and exciting cities. I'd definitely recommend it. I went Mexico in 2000 on a Scout trip.
